Great Big Thank You!!

Thank you parents and students for all the love this Valentine's Day.  I had a pile of candy, treats, stuffed animals, and balloons. I so appreciate the outpouring of your generosity and support!!

"I will never wash this hand again," says Danny after shaking hands with Padre player Alanzo Powell.  Today the fifth grade was treated to a special guest speaker - Padre hitting coach Powell.  He shared his adventures and stories about when he played in the minor leagues, teams abroad, Tacoma Rainiers, and the Padres.  He encouraged the students to make good choices and be accountable to their parents and teachers.  The students were thrilled to meet such a great role model.

Track Stars

     On Monday, Tarver competed in the district track meet.  There was running, jumping, and throwing.   Here are those that went to the track meet.

 I am pleased as could be that our athletes had great attitudes and good sportmenship.

Honor Roll

     The second quarter testing is over, report cards have been issued, and charms have been awarded to those students who meet or exceed the standard OR make sufficient growth.  Our scholars have been working very hard and it shows.  Look at how many have earned awards.  I am very proud of hard work!!  Way to go!!

Merry Christmas

Yes, I know it's not really December and as a matter of fact, it's in the 70s this week, but I have been lax about posting on this blog.  I pledge to do better and post in a timely fashion.
